ROUND TOP

Small-town chic intertwined with elegant, modern-day living

Welcome to Round Top

The elite retreat from the hustle and bustle of Houston and Austin, Round Top is the perfect place to live, work, and play. Area residents enjoy acres of privacy on their piece of history. Here you will find many older, historical homes transformed into dwellings worthy of Southern Living Magazine — all just a short drive away from boutique shopping, high-end dining, and famous antique festivals.

A thriving mercantile and agricultural town since the early 1800s, Round Top has gained a worldwide reputation as an antique shopping mecca. One-of-a-kind finds abound in this small Texas haven, and arts and culture flourish as the community’s focus.

Though there’s a significant influx in tourism for festivals, there are plenty of smaller year-round events to enjoy with friends and neighbors. Round Top is the perfect blend of privacy and community connection.

What to Love

  • Famed antique festivals
  • Large luxurious properties with stunning houses
  • Cherished small businesses with easy access to big-city fun

Local Lifestyle

While modern amenities like high-end shopping, country clubs, and five-star restaurants are within arm’s reach, Round Top is all about relaxation. The small town offers a quaint and charming lifestyle for locals to reset and escape the noise of city life.

Arts, culture, and history come together in Round Top to make up the fabric of this exclusive community. Those with an eclectic taste will love Round Top’s close connection with the antiquing world. In 1968, Emma Lee Turney established the first Round Top Antiques Festival. Today the beloved festival draws thousands of visitors.

Much like the antiques Round Top is known for, the town has a one-of-a-kind vintage feel. Residents of the area enjoy being connected to nature with picturesque walking trails, creeks, and ranches.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Locals and visitors love Round Top’s selection of unique eateries, exclusive shopping, and endless entertainment. Park and stroll Henkel Square, where you will find much to shop, sip, or snack on. Then take a quick ride over to Junk Gypsy, a famous spot for ultra-high-end clothing and accessories. Sisters Amie and Jolie built the business on the spirit of adventure and their love for vintage treasures. And the Humble Donkey Studio provides residents with eclectic wall art and one-of-a-kind antiques.

Dining options are plentiful in Round Top, but the go-to’s are Lulu’s and Royers Café. Lulu’s offers stunningly plated Italian fare for exquisite meals. Royer’s has been a staple in the community for 30 years and will have all your favorite homestyle country cooking.

Things to Do

Though this charming town enjoys tranquility, the small town has big-city events and activities. No matter what you’re into, there’s something for everyone to do in Round Top.

For those interested in history and art, the Round Top Festival Institute is recognized worldwide as a center for cultural art and education. Here you’ll find classical music performances, gardening festivals, poetry readings, and more.

Henkel Square Market has 19th-century buildings that house modern bars, restaurants, and shops. Kick back on their lush lawn in perfectly weathered Adirondack chairs or explore the bevy of pristine German homes, kept in excellent condition since their development.

The most well-known reasons visitors flock to Round Top are the Round Top Antiques Fair and the town’s famed Fourth of July Parade. The Antiques Fair has become a point of pride in the community, and locals have the advantage of being close to all of their seasonal events. The annual Fourth of July Parade is one of the most highly anticipated activities for the town. This annual event fills the streets with festive locals, vendors, games, and fireworks to celebrate.
